Aalu Chana Biryani Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chawal (rice)
  • 4 aalu (potatoes)
  • 1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric)
  • 1-1/2 cup ghee
  • 2 piyaz (onion)
  • 2 tbsp adrak lehsan paste (ginger garlic paste)
  • 8 badiyan ke phool (star anise)
  • 1 pao dahi (yogurt)
  • Hasb e zarurat khara garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp zarde ka rang
  • 2 tbsp pissi laal mirch (red chili powder)
  • 1 tsp jaefil javetri pissi hoi (nutmeg mace powder)
  • Hasb e zaeqa namak (salt to taste)
  • 1 cup chane uble hue (boiled chickpeas)
  • 2 timatae (tomatoes)
  • 1/4 cup hara dhania ,podina (coriander leaves, mint)
  • 2 neembu ka rass (lemon juice)
  • 50 gm aalu bukhare (plums)
  • 3 tbsp khewra
  • 1/2 tsp pissi ilaichi bari or choti (cardamom green, black powder)

Directions

Pehle aaluo ko kaat kar thori c haldi ke sath pani main ubaal len or fry karlen_ab ek pan main ghee garam karke piyaz shaamil karen_jab piyaz golden hojaye to isme adrak lehsan paste ,badiyan ke phool, dahi, khewra, garam masala, zarde ka rang,pissi laal mirch, haldi, pissi jaefil javetri or namak shaamil karden_
3 -4 minutes bhunne ke baad isme fry kiye hue aalu or uble chane shaamil karden_ab ek pan main chawal ubaal len_
Is doran timatar, hara dhania, podina, neembu ka rass or aalu bukhare ki teh lagaen_
Jese hi chawal biryani ke liye tayar hojaen to tayar kiye hue masale ke upar teeh laga kar bicha den_
Akhir main pighla hua ghee, pissi ilaichi or khewra chirak kar 8-10 minutes ka dum den_aalu chana biryani tayar hai ab isse dish main nikaal kar serve karen_:)
