Bharay Karelay Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ser baray baray karelay (bitter gourd)
  • 1 chitank anaar dana (pomegranate seeds)
  • 8 hari mirch (green chili)
  • 250 gm ghee (clarified butter)
  • 250 gm piyaz (onion)
  • Hasb e zarurat namak or laal mirch (red chili or namak as required)
  • 1/2 tsp pissa adrak lehsan (ginger garlic paste)

Directions

Karelo ko achi tarah se khurach len_
Or beej nikaal den or phir ek ghantay ke liye namak laga kar rakh den_
Lehsan, adrak, namak, laal mirch, piyaz or anaar dana mila kar pees len_
Hari mirch bhi inke sath pees len_
Phir karelo ko achi tarah dho kar khushk karne ke baad thore se masale ke siwa tamam masala in karelo main bhar den_
Or inko kisi dhagy se bandh den_
Phir kisis degchi ya frying pan main ghee daal kar inko is ghee main fry karlen_
Yhan tak ke karele achi tarah surkh hojaen_
Phir bacha hua masala daal kar thora sa inko bhun len_or baad main dum par rakh den_
Takreeban 10 minutes ke baad inko utaar len_
Phir serve karen_:)
