Aalu Chaat Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pani (water)
  • 1/2 kg aalu (potatoes cubes)
  • 1/2 tsp namak (salt)

Ingredients for imli chatney

  • 1/2 cup pani ( water)
  • 1/2 cup imli ka gooda (tamarind pulp)
  • 1/4 tsp namak (salt)
  • 1/2 tsp laal mirch (red chili crushed)
  • 1 tukra darcheeni (cinnamon stick)
  • 1/2 tsp adrak powder (ginger powder)
  • 1 tbsp cheeni (sugar)
  • 1 tsp corn flour
  • 3 tbsp pani (water)
  • 1 tsp laal mirch (red chili roasted & crushed)
  • 1 tsp zeera (cumin seeds roasted & crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp kaala namak (black salt)
  • 1/2 tsp laal mirch (red chili crushed)
  • 1 bari piyaz (large onion chopped)
  • 3 tbsp nimbu ka rass (lemon juice)
  • 3-4 hari mirch (green chilies)

Ingredients for assembling

  • Hasb e zarurat dahi (yogurt whisked as required)
  • Special spice mix
  • Sev
  • Papri
  • Chaat masala
  • Hari mirch (green chili)

Directions

Pan main paani daal kar ubaal len_

Aalu or namak daal kar mix karen or galne tak boil karlen, strain karke side pe rakh den_

Imli chatney banane ke liye sauce pan main pani or imli ka gooda daal kar achi tarah mix karen_
Namak, laal mirch crushed, darcheeni or adrak powder daal kar mix karlen_
Cheeni daal kar achi tarah mix karlen_
Corn flour ko pani main daal kar achi tarah dissolve karlen or pot main shamil karen or musalsal mix karte rahen or 1-2 mins ke liye paka len_
Imli ka beech or darcheeni nikaal len or side pe rakh den_
Bowl main laal mirch crushed, zeera or kaala namak  daal kar achi tarah mix karlen, special spice mix chaat ke liye tayar hai_
Boiled aalu main namak, laal mirch crushed, piyaz, hari mirch or nimbu ka rass daal kar achi tarah mix karlen_

Assembling ke liye serving plate main aalu, dahi, imli chatney, special spice mix, sev, papri, dahi, chaat masala or hari mirch daal kar serve karen_:)
