Five Lentils Daal Recipe

Ingredients

  • 50 gm chana daal (gram lentils)
  • 50 gm masoor daal (pink lentils)
  • 50 gm moong daal (moong lentil)
  • 50 gm mash daal (white lentils)
  • 50 malka masoor daal (brown lentils)
  • 2 bareek kati piyaz (onion finely chopped)
  • 6 hari mirchen bareek kati (green chili finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp pissi haldi (turmeric powder)
  • 1 tbsp kutti laal mirch (red chili crushed)
  • Hasb e zarurat sabut garam masala (whole spice as required)
  • Hasb e zaeqa namak (salt to tadte)
  • 1/2 cup ghee

Ingredients for baghar

  • 10 jave bareek kata lehsan (garlic cloves finely chopped)
  • Chand curry patay (few curry leaves)
  • 1 tbsp sabut safed zeera (white cumin seeds)
  • 3 tbsp ghee

Directions

Daalon ko dho kar pani main ek ghantay ke liye rakh den_

Degchi main ghee garam karke piyaz sunehri karen_
Isme daalen, hari mirchen, haldi, laal mirch, garam masala or namak daal kar bhune_
Isme adha cup pani daal kar halki anch par daalon ke galnay tak pakaen_
Frying pan main baghar ke ajza tall kar daal par daal den_
Phir dish main nikaal kar serve karen_:)
