Shola Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 kg gaye ka qeema (beef mince)
  • 1/2 cup masoor ki daal (red lentils)
  • 1/2 cup moong dal (yellow lentils)
  • 1/2 cup chane ki daal (gram lentils)
  • 2 tbsp bhigoe hue chawal (soaked rice)
  • 1 cup gehu (wheat)
  • 3 gathu bareek kata soya (dill finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp pissa adrak lehsan (ginger garlic paste)
  • 1 tsp pissi haldi (turmeric powder)
  • 1-1/2 tbsp pissi laal mirch (red chili powder)
  • 1 tsp pissa garam masala (whole spice powder)
  • 1 tsp bhuna or pissa safed zeera (roasted cumin seeds crushed)
  • 2 piyaz bareek kati (onion finely chopped)
  • 1 chutki meetha soda (sweet soda)
  • Hasb e zaeqa namak (salt to taste)
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp tail (oil)
  • Adrak hari, mirchen, podina bareek kate hue (ginger, green chilies, mint leaves finely chopped)
  • Pesh karne ke liye nimbu, pissa garam masala, pissa safed zeera (nimbu, whole spice powder, cumin powder as accompaniments)

Ingredients for baghar

  • 3 piyaz (onion)
  • 1-1/2 cup tail (oil)

Directions

Daalon or gehu ko alaihda alaihda neem garam pani main 2 ghanto ke liye bhigo den_

Ek degchi main daalon ko garam pani ke humrah daalen galnay tak pakaen, phir blender main pees len_
Gehu ko garam pani main 2 tbsp tail daal kar ubaalen_
Jab safedi upar ajaye to metha soda shamil karden_
Ek degchi main qeema, piyaz, lehsan adrak, haldi, laal mirch, 1 cup tail or naram daal kar pani khushk honay tak pakaen_
Phir soya or hari mirchen daal kar bhune_
Phir gehu milaen or halki anch par gehu galnay tak pakaen_
Jab gehu or qeema yakjan hojaen to daalen, garam masala or zeera mila kar dum par rakh den_
Isse dish main nikaalen isme baghar daalen or nimbu, garam masala or zeeray ke sath serve karen_:)
