Qeema pockets Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups maida (all-purpose flour)
  • 1-1/2 tbsp cheeni (sugar)
  • 1 tbsp khameer (instant yeast)
  • 1 tbsp dahi (yogurt)
  • 1 tsp namak (salt)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Hasb e zarurat garam pani (warm water as required)

Ingredients for qeema stuffing

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 kati piyaz (onion chopped)
  • 1/2 kg gaye ka qeema (beef mince)
  • 1 tbsp pissa adrak lehsan (ginger garlic paste)
  • 1-1/2 tsp laal mirch (red chili crushed)
  • 1-1/2 tsp dhania (coriander seeds crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp kaali mirch powder (black pepper powder)
  • 1/2 tsp namak (salt)
  • 1-1/2 tsp garam masala powder (whole spice powder)
  • 1 tsp bareek kati hari mirch (green chili finely chopped)
  • Hasb e zarurat hara dhania (green coriander as required)
  • Hasb e zarurat podinay ke pattay (mint leaves as required)

Ingredients for assembling & baking

  • Pani (water)
  • 1 phenta hua anda (egg beaten)
  • Kalonji (nigella seeds)

Directions

For Pocket dough:

bowl main maida, cheeni, khameer, dahi, namak or oil daal kar achi tarah mix karen_
Thora thora karke pani shamil karen or goondh kar dough tayar karlen dhak kar 30 mins ke liye rakh den_

For qeema stuffing:
Karhai main oil or piyaz daal den, golden brown honay tak fry karlen_
Gaye ka qeema shamil karen or qeemay ka rang tabdeel honay tak paka len_

Adrak lehsan paste daal kar achi tarah mix karen_
Laal mirch crushed, dhania crushed, kaali mirch powder, namak or garam masala powder daal kar achi tarah mix karen_

Hari mirch, hara dhania or podina daal kar mix karen or thanda karlen_

For assembling & baking:
Dough ko dubara goondh len, maida chirak kar dough ko goondh len_
Chota dough lekar ball bana len or bailan ki madad se bail len, qeema filling ko bech main rakh den or kinaro par pani laga len_
Upar se dosra dough rakh den, halka sa press karen or cookie cutter ki madad se kaat len_

Baking dish par butter paper rakh den_
Stuffed dough rakh kar anday se wash karen or kalonji daal den_

Pehle se garam oven main 200c par golden color anay tak bake karlen (15-20 minutes)_

Tayar honay par serve karen_:)
