Ingredients
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 4-5 long (cloves)
- 2-3 daarcheeni (cinnamon sticks)
- 8-10 sabut kaali mirch (black pepper corns)
- 1 tsp zeera (cumin seeds)
- 2 ilaichi (cardamoms)
- 1 kati piyaz (onion chopped)
- 8-10 karri pata (curry leaves)
- 1 cup hari moong daal 1 ghanta bhigoi hoi (split green moong lentil soaked for 1 hour)
- 1-1/2 cup chawal 1 ghanta bhigoe (rice soaked for 1 hour)
- 1 tsp namak (salt)
- 4-1/2 cups pani (water)
Ingredients for raita
- 1 cup dahi (yogurt)
- 1/2 tbsp hara dhania (coriander leaves)
- 2 tbsp piyaz (onion)
- 1 tbsp hari mirch (green chili)
- Hasb e zaeqa namak (salt to taste)
Directions
Patili main ghee garam karen, long, sabut kaali mirch, darcheeni, zeera or ilaichi daal kar saute karen_
Piyaz or karri pata daal kar piyaz sunehri honay tak fry karen_
Hari moong daal, chawal, namak or pani daal kar achi tarah mix karen_
Dhak kar halki anch par 1/4 pani reh janay tak pakaen_
Halki anch par 5-6 mins ke liye dam par rakh den_
Hari moong daal khichri tayar hai_
Raita banane ke liye dahi main kata hara dhania, kati hari mirch, kati piyaz or namak daal kar mix karen_
Raita tayar hai_
Hari moong daal khichri ko raitay ke sath serve karen_:)
